Support Coordinator.

Heather is an experienced disability services professional with a strong commitment to fostering autonomy, dignity, and meaningful outcomes for the people she supports. She has built her career in the disability sector, spending time as a education assistant and then eight years as a Lead Support Worker within a large disability organisation. In this role, Heather supported individuals with diverse and complex needs, developed person-centred support plans, and mentored teams to deliver high quality, respectful care.

 

Motivated to further expand her impact, Heather completed a Diploma of Community Services and transitioned into Support Coordination. In this capacity, she works closely with participants, families, service providers, and the broader community to ensure individuals receive the right funding, resources, and opportunities to live fulfilling and independent lives. Heather is known for her collaborative approach, strong advocacy skills, and unwavering belief that every person deserves equitable access to the supports they need.

 

In 2026, she will commence a Bachelor of Social Work, further strengthening her expertise in complex case management, systemic advocacy, and person-centred practice.
